After 25 years of being one of the largest Excavating contractors in the state of Utah, Rulon Harper owner of Harper Companies, decided to add a ready mix concrete supplier to compliment his already thriving business. So in 2002 Harper Ready Mix was established and went right to work at becoming one of the major suppliers in the Salt Lake Valley.

With the success of ready mix, it seemed only natural that a pre-cast division would do well also. Not only did pre-cast get established but within a short period of time became a top producer in the market.

With this kind of growth and teamwork between divisions, Harper Companies has had the privilege of working on many high profile projects. One of the most innovative projects yet has been the recent bridge replacement projects that the Utah Department of Transportation has developed. The bridges are built off site and then moved into place to minimize the impact on the population. Harper Ready Mix has been chosen as the supplier for each of these projects because of the quality that we bring as well as the resources that we have to make this and any other project that we participate in a success.
